Ultrafast UK: moving into the full fibre age – part II

The past eight months have seen the continuation of a number of policy and regulatory initiatives affecting the UK’s superfast and ultrafast broadband market, as well as the fleshing out of the Government’s vision for the country’s future broadband infrastructure.

Ambitions for broadband were presented in the Future Telecoms Infrastructure Review published on 23 July 2018, namely full fibre coverage to 15 million premises by 2025 and all parts of the UK by 2033; and majority population 5G coverage by 2027.
